- 1 lb sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh parsley, chopped
- salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the mushrooms
Heat butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Assemble the dish
Transfer the cooked mushrooms to a baking dish. Pour in the heavy cream and mix gently. Sprinkle mozzarella (or Gruyère) and Parmesan cheese evenly over the mushrooms. Arrange the scallops on top and season with salt and pepper.
4. Bake
