Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 800 g)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice of 2 large lemons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup heavy cream (200 ml)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for serving)
Instructions
1️⃣ Season the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and lemon zest.
2️⃣ Sear the Chicken
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Build the Flavor
In the same skillet, sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
4️⃣ Make the Sauce
Add lemon juice, chicken broth, and Dijon mustard. Stir well.
Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
5️⃣ Finish Cooking
Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to coat the chicken and deepen in flavor.
6️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and top with lemon slices before serving.
