- 10 oz thinly sliced steak
- 8–10 shrimp, peeled and deveined
Noodles
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
Vegetables
- ¼ cup chopped bell pepper
- ½ onion, sliced
- 2 bok choy leaves, cut into pieces
- ¼ cup matchstick carrots
Sauce
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Cooking
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the sauce
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, cornstarch, sugar, sesame oil, cooking wine, ginger, and garlic until smooth. Set aside.
2. Cook the noodles
Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions, discarding the seasoning packets. Drain and set aside.
3. Cook the steak
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak and cook for about 1 minute per side until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
4. Stir-fry vegetables and shrimp
Add remaining oil to the pan. Cook onion, bell pepper, carrots, and bok choy for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender. Add shrimp and cook until pink and slightly curled, about 3 minutes.
5. Combine everything
Return steak to the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and cook for 1–2 minutes until thickened. Add cooked ramen noodles and toss well to coat evenly.
6. Serve warm
