Ingredients
For the shrimp:
- 600 g (about 1.3 lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, finely minced
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Paprika (optional)
For the creamy sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt & pepper to taste
For serving:
- Cooked white rice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook the rice
Prepare white rice according to package instructions and set aside.
2. Sauté the garlic
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
3. Cook the shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Remove excess liquid if necessary.
4. Make the creamy sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Finish the dish
Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Mix until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
6. Garnish & serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately over warm rice.
