Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

Easy, Healthy & Family-Friendly Dinner

Tender white fish fillets cooked to golden perfection and topped with a bright lemon butter garlic sauce. This quick recipe is light, flavorful, and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

For the Fish

  • 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice & zest of 2 lemons
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Garnish

  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the fish

Pat fillets dry with paper towels.

Drizzle with olive oil and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

2️⃣ Cook the fish

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook fillets for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and flaky.

Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the lemon butter sauce

Reduce heat to medium.

Melt butter with olive oil in the same skillet.

Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in lemon juice, zest, and parsley.

Season to taste and simmer 2–3 minutes.

4️⃣ Serve

Place fish on a serving plate.

Spoon lemon butter sauce over the top.

Garnish with lemon slices and parsley.
