For the Beef

1 lb (450g) beef, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Stir-Fry

8 oz rice noodles or flat noodles

2 cups broccoli florets

1 bell pepper, sliced

1 small onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

For the Sauce

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Optional: chili sauce or sriracha (for spice)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for a few minutes while preparing the other ingredients.

3. Cook the Beef

Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat.

Add a little oil and stir-fry the beef for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same pan, add garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add broccoli, bell pepper, and onion. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.

5. Combine Everything

Return the beef to the pan.

Add the cooked noodles and pour in the sauce.

Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.

6. Serve

Transfer to serving plates and garnish with sesame seeds.
