🌮 Beef Tacos with Fresh Tomato Salsa & Avocado

A quick, flavorful family dinner everyone will love!

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the tacos:

  • 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp water or broth

Fresh Tomato Salsa:

  • 2 tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Avocado Layer:

  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • Pinch of salt
  • Squeeze of lemon juice (prevents browning)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef, breaking it apart while cooking.
  5. Season with paprika, cumin, coriander, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add water or broth and simmer for 5 minutes until flavorful and slightly saucy.

2️⃣ Make the Salsa

In a bowl, mix tomatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and fresh herbs.

Stir gently and set aside.

  1. Warm tortillas briefly in a dry pan.
  2. Add a layer of seasoned beef.
  3. Top with fresh tomato salsa.
  4. Add avocado slices.
