Filling
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend

Sauce
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
- remaining cream cheese from package
Assembly
- 8 small corn tortillas (6-inch)
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese (for topping)
- fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions
1. Prepare the oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
2. Make the filling
In a bowl, mix half of the cream cheese with shredded chicken, 1 cup shredded cheese, lime juice, chili powder (optional), salt, and pepper.
3. Fill the tortillas
Add 2–3 tablespoons of filling to each tortilla. Roll tightly and place seam side down in the baking dish.
4. Prepare the sauce
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for about 2–3 minutes.
Gradually add chicken broth while stirring. Add diced green chiles and remaining cream cheese.
Cook until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thick.
5. Assemble
Pour the sauce evenly over the enchiladas. Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.
6. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top.
7. Serve
