These soft sweet potato patties are naturally sweet, easy to chew, and packed with nutrients. They’re perfect for toddlers, picky eaters, and quick family meals.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed cooked sweet potato
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons oat flour or breadcrumbs
- 1 egg yolk (optional, for binding)
- 1 tablespoon finely grated zucchini (optional for extra veggies)
- pinch of cinnamon or garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter for cooking
Instructions
- Prepare the mixture
In a bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, cheese, oat flour, egg yolk, and optional zucchini and seasoning. Mix until a soft dough forms. - Shape the patties
Scoop small portions and shape into mini patties suitable for little hands. - Cook
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat with a small amount of oil or butter.
Cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and lightly crisp. - Cool & Serve
Allow to cool slightly before serving to toddlers.
